Some weeks ago. My friend and I stopped at the camping for a tea. She had blisters and could not walk. Vicky (owner) helped us very much and even drove us to Northallerton. The campsite is lovely and Vicky is a great and kind person.

Wonderful campsite for pitching our tent and to use as a base to explore a couple of the local towns. We loved the tuck shop, showers, kitchen facilities, soft grass, fresh eggs to purchase and friendly staff. Small campsite so not too busy. Lovely local pub within walking distance, we suggest booking a table for dinner. 5 star all around!

A perfect little campsite. We usually only stop over at places overnight, so we can explore different areas however we liked it so much here, we stayed three nights.
We have a campervan so stayed on a pitch with electric hookup. The pitches are very spacious allowing plenty of room if you want to put an awning up.
The facilities are top class with hot powerful spacious showers, plenty of hooks to hang things up, and plenty of room to get dressed. Toilets are also immaculate.
There is a fully equipped kitchen area with tea and coffee making facilities, microwave, washing machine and tumble dryer.
This is a popular campsite for Coast2Coast walkers and it is perfectly set up of all types of camping. There is even a little tuck shop which is open to passing walkers as well as people camping.
There is an amazing family who run the campsite, who couldn't make you feel more welcome. They were able to give us some great tips on places to visit in and around the area.
If I could give this campsite more stars, I would.
Thank you so much for your hospitality and a great stay.

I visit Church Holme not as a guest but as a worker, I empty their poo tanks, I love this place, the surroundings the church, the sheer peace and quiet, strange thing is every time I go the weather is beautiful, the owner are a lovely couple, they always make me feel welcome and offer cups of tea or coffee, I appreciate that as alot of places I go to, because of the work I'm doing, they can treat me pretty badly, as if I'm personally something dirty and disgusting on their shoes. Not here though! I always have a smile on my face when heading to Church Holme ❤️

What a gem, fantastic little campsite. Very friendly and helpful owners who clearly take pride in this campsite they have created. Facilities are spotless and there are numerous little touches which make a difference. The tuck shop has a variety of items, all reasonably priced. There is a well equipped kitchen area for campers and although we were in a campervan it was handy for doing the washing up.
There is a games room for the kids with plenty to choose from and the owner took our grandkids for a short tractor ride around an adjacent field.
Highly recommend this wonderful little site and we hope to return.

Amazing campsite. Flat pitches, peaceful. Lovely camp kitchen, clean showers, washing machine and dryer, fully stocked tuck shop and bacon rolls for breakfast. Friendly hosts. By far the best campsite we've stayed at on the C2C.

We only stayed one night but I wish I had booked an extra day or two off work and stayed longer! We took advantage of the tent with camp beds and linen option. Wasn't sure what to expect, but I think our expectations were exceeded, and then some.
Vicky, our hosts, was great. Extremely hospitable and welcoming, always on hand and ensuring we settled in ok, as she did with all the other guests too.
Our pitch was amazing. We felt spoilt it was so nice, with two camp beds separated by bedside table with lamp, extra power sockets, and also a couple of camp chairs for food measure. The linen was fresh/clean, maybe even brand new. It was an impressive sight and quiet space to lay our head for the night.
The facilities were just as impressive, there are a couple of converted barns with a few high quality showers and toilet facilities. The showers were really powerful, hot and immaculately clean. Next door was a communal kitchen area, with everything you could ever need and more. There was a toaster, microwave, kettle and fridge, a sink for washing up, and a table that seats up to 6 people too.
Opposite is a small games room with table tennis table, rocking horses and an abundance of board games to keep kids entertained.
There are some items for sale in a small tuck shop as you enter the site that operates on an honesty box system with plenty of sweets, ice creams, eggs and flapjacks etc for sale at prices that make Aldi and the like seem expensive.
Very satisfied, and hope to visit and take advantage next year!
All in all, highly recommended.

I didn’t even have to think about it for long to realise that this is the best site I’ve ever stayed at.
The site is very well equipped with a Games room, immaculate showers with hot water and amazing pressure , and toilets. In addition, The tuck shop is different to other sites as it is open 24/7 and the prices are even cheaper than the supermarket . For campers who are perhaps packing light - there is a communal kitchen (which has everything you need) where everyone we met was super friendly - other campers were getting to know each other at the table too!!
Vicky was lovely , she came to welcome us after we arrived and had a genuine interest in talking to other campers too (aswell as myself) .
I cannot put into words how amazing this site is. A beautiful site, intertwined with nature yet modernly equipped.
I have selected just a few photos and videos - but I’ll be adding more from my camera later on!

Stopped at the tuck shop on the C2C route. Fantastic! Great selection including ice cream! We weren’t camping but saw the kitchen set up complete with washer and dryer! Washed our boots at the outside tap with brush provided. Great facility!!
